Estacion winery is owned by the Gonzalez Ortiz family who named it in honour of the famous Colchagua train station and steam train the railway line for which used to run from Santiago to the coast. The estate is located in the Colchagua Valley winner of the 2006 Wine Route of the Year by Wine Enthusiast magazine. The area is excellent for viticulture as there is a large fluctuation between day and night-time temperatures. It may be hot in the day but at night temperatures drop by as much as 20?C
